RUDA's Engineering Department and Climate Change Wing have successfully completed the on-site audit and validation process for the Mahmood Booti Carbon Project, a major step toward securing certified carbon credits under Verra's international standards.
From 3 to 5 November 2026, the project site was reviewed by an international auditing team, including technical consultants and the independent auditing firm AENOR. The exercise covered a full inspection of the landfill gas flare system and its equipment, along with discussions with contractors, operators, and members of the surrounding community.
The successful completion of this audit marks a significant milestone toward the project's certification and the future issuance of carbon credits — reinforcing RUDA's continued commitment to climate action and environmental sustainability in Lahore.
